Judi's Sewing Space in Agoura Hills

We just love it when our clients give the gift of one of our structures to a family member. This beautiful shed was built for Judi who plans to use it for her sewing projects and it was a gift from her family. So sweet.

The single lite front doors and clear glass on either side, combined with a taller than normal gabled roof with stunning clear gables allows the natural light to pour into the interior space.

The left and right walls both feature fixed glass windows in the middle with casement style opening reclaimed windows on either side. This gives Judi the freedom to control how much air is moving through her structure depending on the weather conditions of the day. Plenty of air flow for those warm sunny days, or limited air flow when it's chilly.

On the interior we built 4 custom sewing tables; 2 with locking casters so that she can wheel them together for her larger projects. We love how well they fit the space and can imagine beautiful sewing projects spread across the space.

We also popped in two clear roof panels for that extra pop of sunlight. The inside feels very serene.

The siding for the entire structure is a beautiful cedar shiplap that was repurposed from a home in Cambria. Judi and her family were going to paint it but after seeing how beautifully it shows on the interior they are just going to clear coat the inside, which we think is lovely! When reclaimed materials are given new life sometimes they shine even brighter than before.

We feel so honored to have been able to create a space that will work for Judi to sew away with joy. Infusing the reclaimed materials into everything we do, while also being able to provide something new and gorgeous keeps our purpose driven business thriving. Clients like Judi and her family "get" what we do and the structures that result from those relationships are always magical. Enjoy!
